On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) which caters to domestic flights, you will be met by our representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha.Â
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we set off for Tarangire National Park. Named after the Tarangire River, which winds its way through the park, this "river of warthogs" becomes the main water source for wildlife during the dry season. The park’s landscape features dense vegetation, including elephant grass and acacia woodlands. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant families, often seen gathering near the river. You may also encounter giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, along with predators like lions and leopards that closely follow their prey. With more bird breeding species than any other location on Earth, Tarangire is a birdwatcher’s paradise. As home to Tanzania's largest elephant population, the park offers unparalleled opportunities to observe these majestic creatures, from playful calves to towering bulls, in their natural environment. After enjoying a packed lunch, we proceed to our accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, embark on a short drive to Lake Manyara National Park for an exciting day of game viewing. Your adventure begins with sightings of large troupes of baboons, a common sight in this diverse park. Nestled between the stunning Lake Manyara and the dramatic Great Rift Valley, the park offers an impressive array of terrains and ecosystems. Originally established to protect its iconic elephant herds, Lake Manyara National Park delivers an unforgettable wildlife experience. In addition to elephants, keep an eye out for the park's elusive tree-climbing lions, a unique phenomenon. The alkaline waters of Lake Manyara attract flamingos and over 400 species of birds, while hippos can often be seen lounging in the lake’s shallows. Enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic picnic site before continuing your journey. Later in the afternoon, take a short drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands, where dinner and a restful overnight stay await.
Start your day with an early breakfast before heading towards the legendary Serengeti, with game viewing along the way. The Serengeti is renowned as the world's most iconic wildlife sanctuary, celebrated for its unparalleled natural beauty and immense scientific importance. It hosts the largest concentration of plains game in Africa, making it a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. The park's fame is closely tied to the Great Migration, where over a million wildebeest and around 200,000 zebras move south from the northern hills to the southern plains during the short rains in October and November. They then journey west and north following the long rains in April, May, and June. This ancient migratory instinct is so powerful that no drought, gorge, or crocodile-infested river can stop them. The Serengeti, with its endless plains, breathtaking sunrises, and captivating sunsets, is truly the heart of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic picnic site before continuing your adventure. As the day winds down, drive to your accommodation for a well-deserved dinner and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, depart from the Serengeti and head towards the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. Often referred to as the ‘eighth Wonder of the World,’ the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most iconic and celebrated natural wonders, boasting the highest density of wildlife on the continent. This breathtaking site draws visitors from around the globe, and while you may share the experience with other vehicles, the wildlife viewing here is truly exceptional in a setting that is nothing short of spectacular. The Crater is one of the best places in Africa to spot the endangered black rhinoceros, alongside thriving populations of lions, wildebeests, zebras, and hippos. Home to the entirety of the Big Five, Ngorongoro is particularly known for its impressive sightings of lions and Cape buffalo throughout the year. Enjoy a packed lunch at a picturesque picnic site within this remarkable landscape. Later in the afternoon, continue to your accommodation, where dinner and a restful overnight stay await.
After breakfast, your private safari guide will pick you up from your lodge for the drive back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you'll have time for some last-minute shopping, re-packing, and a relaxing lunch. Following this, you’ll be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home or continue your adventure with a flight to Zanzibar.
